Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Class 1 Driver to join
our team. As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods
and materials over long distances while ensuring safety, compliance, and timely
deliveries. This role is critical to maintaining smooth and efficient
operations and upholding our commitment to providing excellent service to our
clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport
Goods: Operate a Class 1 vehicle to deliver goods and materials safely
and efficiently to designated locations.
- Route
Planning: Plan and follow efficient and safe routes, adjusting for
traffic, weather, and road conditions.
- Load
and Unload: Assist with the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring
all items are secured and protected during transport.
- Vehicle
Maintenance: Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any
maintenance or safety issues promptly. Ensure the vehicle is always in
good working condition.
- Documentation:
Accurately complete all necessary documentation, including delivery logs,
inspection reports, and fuel receipts. Ensure compliance with legal and
regulatory requirements.
- Customer
Service: Maintain professional relationships with clients, providing
timely updates on deliveries and ensuring high-quality service.
- Safety
Compliance: Adhere to all road safety regulations, company policies,
and industry standards. Always follow safety protocols, including the use
of personal protective equipment when required.
- Must
have a can do attitude
Qualifications:
- Valid
Class 1 Driver’s License.
- Valid
Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
- Experience:
Minimum of [1] years of driving experience in a Class 1 vehicle,
preferably in [curtain side, refrigerated, store deliveries, long-haul].
- Clean
Driving Record: No major accidents or violations in the last [5]
years.

DR Endorsements: Must have no DR (drunk driving) endorsements for

and Route Optimisation Software: Familiarity with navigation tools and
apps to optimise delivery routes.
- Forklift
Experience: Ability to operate a forklift to assist with
loading/unloading.
- Geographical
Knowledge: Familiarity with local or regional areas and road networks.
Working Conditions:
- Long
hours and overnight trips may be required, depending on the route.
- Occasional
weekend work may be necessary.
- Regular
driving in all weather conditions.
